The Coastwide commercial catches from Northern California to the Bering Sea, increased to over 24 million pounds. This translates to nearly six percent higher than 2018, with Alaska’s share at 19 million pounds, a three million pound increase from 2018. The increase reasons noted were due to estimates of the overall biomass being up, based on expanded surveys completed in summer.
